HTCP is founded on the principle that it need not be expensive to to build energy efficient, as well as a lower impact on our environment. Like most of you,  I have seen many films concerning the effects that we have on nature as a course of our "lifestyle".  And it troubled me that the only alternatives to traditional "stick-framed" construction were prohibitively more expensive or were drastic alteration of the "norms".  That is, they would require major changes in my lifestyle. At this point in my life, I wanted to make a difference, but I also wanted to be able to build with materials and methods which:
 
1. Conventional financing. I can shop lenders, just like any
    "regular" home builder.
 
2. Build any style of home. In other words,  not be limited by the
     construction materials/format to a specific "look".
 
3. Be able to produce a  finished product that can be competitive.
    Whether your needs are for affordable/low cost, mid priced or upper
    end custom homes.
 
4. The strucures must be able to save the owner more than what little extra
     they cost. That is, in a reasonable and short  period, they will pay you
     back in energy efficiencies approaching 70-80% better than
     comparable stick framed homes of the same size, shape, style, and
     design. Whatever that design is... it's your choice!
 
    So, we have assembled products which are very specific in how
     they work in harmony to create a home that will not become a
     burden as the cost of energy rises.
